Jimmy Fallon had been talking about buying a new truck on The Tonight Show for a while. He finally decided that he wanted, a 2015 Ford F-150 King Ranch. So instead of going out to buy one, he brought the sales consultants to him. He invited the top 10 Ford sales consultants from across the nation to New York. On Monday, March 31st, Jimmy Fallon kicked off the contest and introduced each contestant on his show.  Our very own Jesse Gloystein was introduced to the crowd and told the viewers watching to use his hashtag, #BlairJesse.

Tuesday, April 1st was no joke to Jesse. Beginning that Tuesday, 10 Ford sales consultants were on the deck of the USS Intrepid in New York and had to maintain contact with the F-150 truck for as long as they could. The last person to break contact would get the honor of selling Jimmy Fallon the truck.

Everyone at Woodhouse supported Jesse each minute he was there, with photos, posts, and tweets he knew we were all behind him 110%. It was really cool that a Woodhouse employee got to compete in something like this.

We held a contest on Facebook and Twitter to help give Jesse more support during his time in New York. Everyone who used the hashtag #BlairJesse was entered to win a $1,000 gift certificate to Woodhouse. The winners were Ashley Greco and Autumn Varney! Congratulations to both of them!

Thank you again to everyone who helped us support Jesse during this contest. It was greatly appreciated!

Even though Jesse didn’t end up selling Jimmy Fallon the truck, he still had a great time and said it was a wonderful experience. A later video showed that he lost contact with the truck when he was changing his shoes. “Jesse – You are still number 1 in our hearts!  Way to represent Woodhouse and thank you for being willing to be a part of something amazing!  Your Woodhouse Family loves you!!!” Below is the tweet that Jesse put out after he had found out he was disqualified.

bad break

Here is the email that Jesse sent to everyone at Woodhouse:

Woodhouse Auto FAMILY,

Thank you Jessica, Lisa, and everyone in marketing for helping/supporting me through this challenge, it was a huge undertaking!

Also, thank you to the Pittack family for all the support, time off, and everything you do for me day in and day out at Woodhouse!

Everyone else –  I appreciate the support through text, phone calls, Facebook posts, and Twitter!  I really wish I hadn’t made that tiny mistake because I felt I could have won!  However, I could feel the support all the way to New York City!  The pictures and videos are amazing and my competition could not believe how much work you all went through.  They said that Woodhouse Auto Family is incredible and I would have to agree!

Believe it or not, most of the other participants knew all about Woodhouse and “Truck Mountain.”  The folks from Ford couldn’t wait to meet the guy from Woodhouse and went way out of their way to become closer to me.  I did my best to represent Woodhouse in the best way possible!

Once again, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for all the support!  I will see you all back at work soon.

Thank you,
